Flight Notes: Launched on an Aerotech F50-4T. With the newly-installed circuitry, there is no switch to flip just before launch. This eliminates the chance of the rod swaying at launch and this flight was a beauty, 600 feet, straight up. The circuitry failed to detect launch, but was triggered during deployment. The recovery systems on the payload bay and booster deployed fully, and they both drifted right back to the range. I caught the camera payload section, and have the pictures to prove it! The first three exposures below are from this flight.

Six other exposures from the first flight will be scanned and added below as time allows.

The second flight, launched on an Aerotech F25-4W, arced heavily to the south and the circuitry never triggered (no matter, pictures would have been taken of the thistle field to the south of the range). This motor just doesn't have the "kick" necessary to get the CR4 off to a good start. One frame was exposed during setup on the pad.

All images are shown in a "nosecone up" perspective.

The other exposures on the roll were used for "ground tests" and photos of launch participants and spectotors. The 35 mm film from CR4 was procesed and printed on standard size prints. These were scanned at 300 dpi for high-resolution, reduced by 50% (effective 150 dpi) for medium-resolution, reduced by 50% again (effective 75 dpi) for low-resolution, and reduced by 50% yet again (effective 37.5 dpi) for thumbnail-resolution.
